Time to return to Wing Chun chop foooey

"Man, I see in Fight Club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived.
I see all this potential, and I see it squandered.
God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars.
Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need.
We're the middle children of history, man.
No purpose or place.
We have no Great War.
No Great Depression.
Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives.
We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars.
But we won't.
And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off."

The purpose is to put the peddlers of this shite in their place.

Are we really so stupid to think we get the girl with the car or the health with the cigarette or the happiness with the lottery win.

Multiplying wants only leads to more unhappiness. We need to master our wants and reduce them to the essential, and this does not necessarily mean subsistence level. Nor does it mean denying ambition.

And we need to factor in the inner reward from helping others.

We have our great wars: poverty, ignorance, global warming etc. Maybe we need a bit of conscription to get everyone involved.

We may have our great depression in the disillusion that follows arriving at a false destination, but that doesn't have to be our life.

Cheer up, want less, do more.
